1. We arrived about a week after everyone else, so we were already a week behind.
2. The teacher was very nice, but difficult for us to learn much. He said everything in Italian, so we were trying to understand him explain a language in a language we didn't know...kinda like chasing your own tail, if you ask me.
3. Leah needed to focus large amounts of time to her opera. We checked with all her teachers and they agreed that it would be better for her to focus on the opera, not language classes. So she now uses that time to practice her opera.
4. I will be leaving next week to work with the missionaries in Perugia for several days, so I would be getting even further behind.
5. I am now working mostly full-time with IFPC, just doing it remotely.
6. IT'S OUR HONEYMOON FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! We needed some time together, and this adjustment will allow for that.
We were looking forward to learning the language, but decided now just isn't the best time to do that. We thank you all for your support - prayer and otherwise!
Chio!

Sounds like a good plan!
