Welcome!
This blog will tell the story of two starry-eyed lovers that are taking a once-in-a-lifetime, five-week trip to Italy to study opera with top professionals and to help missionaries to Italy (and make it double as our honeymoon).
We will be married on June 19, at 3 pm, board our first plane together (awww!) on June 22, at 7:15 pm, to take a trip that we will never forget.
We leave Des Moines, fly to Chicago, have a brief layover, then the big flight to Frankfurt, Germany (8 hr), another brief layover, and then head to Rome. We are still working on figuring out how best to get to Novafeltria from Rome, as there is no airport in Novafeltria, but we have a few more weeks to sort that out.
We recently were notified we have an apartment already reserved for us that is fully furnished, so that will help not having to pack the kitchen sink. We are really excited to see what it looks like!
We want to thank everyone that has helped us financially. Without your help, we wouldn't be able to even dream of something like this! We love you all!
